This is essential knowledge for Sufis (& indeed all Muslims!). After the five daily prayers, all Sufi aspirants must know this. Then they should try and add the night prayer (tahajjud).
Traditionally these are divided into the major and lessor sins, but I have avoided that classification.
Pray that God gives this faqeer perseverance on the Path!

Some people may question the need for a moral code at all, to them we have nothing to say except "wait and see."
To those who may find some aspects of this moral code quaint & repugnant according to today's values, such as no.s 3 & 4, they might well reflect that through most of recorded history, the family has been the basis of all communities. Thus its sanctity is the bedrock of stability, and what violates it is the root of anarchy.
To those who object to 26-29, what are you doing at a Sufi blog anyway?!

Assalam alaykum. An excellent check list! Thanks for sharing, my friend.
I'm glad you put this up. It reminds me of a saying of one of the early Sufis which says: Sufism is the sacrifice of the soul (nafs) o son, if you can do that then pay no attention to the table-talk of the sufis.
