I'm thinking this is a Coleman Barks "version". Still it retains something of Mevlana. I'm not sure of the source. However I've fixed some words which needed capitalization.
People are distracted by objects of desire,
and afterward repent of the lust they've indulged,
because they have indulged with a phantom
and are left even farther from Reality than before.
Giving thanks for abundance
is sweeter than the abundance itself...
Infinite Mercy flows continually
