What is Sufism?

Glory be to God! HE has summed up all of Sufism in one verse of the Holy Qur'an!

Sura Kahf 28: "Restrain yourselves with those who cry unto their Lord morning & night, seeking His countenance; and let not your eyes overlook them, desiring the pomp & life of the world."

SOME CLARIFICATION
This site is based on the perspective that Sufism is Islamic mysticism. Our Law is the Qur'an, our example the Holy Prophet [peace be upon him] as interpreted by the Auliya Allah, Friends of God.

Sufis say: "Seventy thousand veils hide God from man, and they may not all be lifted save for one who avers that there is no god but the One True God, and Muhammad is His Messenger."

Still, non-Muslims are welcome, perhaps they can find something of value here.

Our Sufism is defined in detail in Maulana Wahid Bakhsh's commentary on Data sahib al-Hujweri's Kashf al Mahjub & similar texts.
